Once a buyer officially holds title and your 10-day redemption period has expired, the new owner will likely file for a writ of possession. Once served with a writ, you will be given twenty-four hours to vacate the house. At this point, you have lost your home. NOTE: This process varies by jurisdiction and you are usually not afforded the same rights (3 day notices, time periods, etc) as you would receive in a standard eviction.
